Maori Tribal Tattoos

The tribes of Maori who migrated from the Eastern Polynesia from 800 to 1300 AD. They were also the first settlers of New Zealand. They have formulated their own communication language. They were savage and proud warriors of their tribe. The warfare between the tribes was their way of living and those who were very unlucky and were conquered,
have faced slavery and sometimes they were killed and eaten! They were exempted by the British from mobilization in the second World War. However, about 17,000 of the Maori Natives volunteered themselves! The ta moko, or The traditional tribal tattoo of the Maori tribe, this is designed with bold spiral graphics which covered the face. The process of tattooing was a ritual for the tribe, which made the use of chisels formed from bones for the tattoo procedure, which was most probably, extremely painful!
